About Intentional Hospitality
I'm Karla Galvan Villasenor. I've spent 19+ years in luxury hospitality, working in hotel operations and hotel technology across 7+ countries. But what truly drives me isn't the software or the star rating. It's the people who make it all work.
If you're here, you're probably someone who doesn't settle for just clocking in and out. You're a supervisor, coordinator, department head, or aspiring to be one, and you're constantly asking yourself how to get better at what you do. Maybe you feel like your professional growth shouldn't depend on your company developing you.
I've felt that too. And that's why I created this space.
After nearly two decades in the industry, I realized something: many incredibly talented hospitality professionals get stuck. Not because they lack ability, but because no one speaks directly to them about how to grow.
Development resources are usually aimed at owners or general managers. But what about the people who actually hold the operation together every single day?
Intentional Hospitality was born to close that gap. It's a professional development ecosystem for those of us who see beyond our shift. This isn't about how to improve your hotel. It's about how to improve you as a professional.
On the podcast, we explore four pillars, always applied to our hospitality context:
Conscious Productivity, to work better, not harder.
Operational Leadership, to lead teams and care for the employee experience.
Intentional Career, to grow professionally with purpose.
Growth Mindset, to sustain your development in a demanding industry.
Everything in Spanish and English. The filter is always the same: does this help you grow regardless of where you work? Because the skills that truly matter are the ones that follow you even when you change companies.
Beyond the podcast, we're building a membership ecosystem with resources, community, and personalized support for every stage of your career.
If you're someone who leaves their shift thinking "how can I do this better?", you're in the right place.
Your career is yours, not your employer's. And we're going to work on that together.
